When pressed onto a microscope slide, CoverWell forms a sealed chamber around a specimen holding reactants in place and prevents evaporation and sample loss. Designed for immunocytochemistry, in situ hybridization and enzyme/receptor cytochemistry. Convenient and easy to use. Simply press CoverWell to a microscope slide containing a cell or tissue specimen. Forms a sealed chamber and prevents evaporation, spillage, unwanted binding of antibodies, enzyme substrates, or nucleotide probes. CoverWell is made of a silicone gasket bonded to optically clear, hydrophobic plastic. Microwave safe and autoclavable.

Each CultureWell insert is comprised of four chambered coverglass assembled in a disposable frame which is placed in a standard 86 mm x 128 mm culture plate. All are sterile and ready to use. The stabilizing insert design and accessory hardware allow fragile coverglass to be easily integrated into protocols for high throughput handling of microscope slides and SBS compliant microtiter plates.

Electron Microscopy Sciences Secureslip™ Cell Culture Coverglass 15 well, 12 mm Square
Convenient and secure coverglass that will not move during cultivation. The coverglass is affixed to a thin microscopically transparent silicone base which secures to culture vessels by an electrostatic charge, not an adhesive, to prevent movement during cultivation.
The silicone also acts as a hydrophobic barrier to isolate liquid reagents on glass. Individual coverglass with silicone backing can be adhered to a petri dish or plate. These can be easily removed one at a time from the dish during culture. Once removed, coverglass can be affixed to a microscope slide by means of the tacky silicone backing for routine processing, or placed cell side down onto a drop of reagent using the silicone backing as a cover to prevent evaporation.
